The Foresee Foundation (4C) has launched "The Soualichi Stories" series in St. Maarten, featuring local legends and cultural narratives. One installment, titled "How The Great Salt Pond Was Made," presents a traditional explanation for the landmark's creation. The series was initiated during a period of social distancing in St. Maarten, aiming to foster community connection among residents through shared heritage and culture. Papa Umpo served as both writer and storyteller for the content, with Kevin "Suppa" Petrona as producer and Sjorensly Valies handling visuals. The initiative received funding from Cultuur Fonds Partitipatie.
