27-Year-Old Suspect Arrested Following Serious Ill-Treatment Incident Saturday Morning

The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is investigating a serious ill-treatment incident reported early Saturday morning, May 30, 2026, in the Simpson Bay area. Around 4:00 a.m., authorities found a male victim unresponsive near a guest house. EMS administered aid before transporting the victim to the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) in very serious condition. KPSM detectives determined the victim had been subjected to serious ill-treatment. A 27-year-old suspect was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident. The investigation by the KPSM Detective Department remains ongoing.
