35-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Firearms Trafficking Investigation

On June 8, 2026, the Special Crimes Unit of the Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) arrested a 35-year-old male suspect, identified as J.J.M., on suspicion of illegal firearms dealing. This action is part of the Detective Department's ongoing investigations into the trafficking of illegal firearms and narcotics on Sint Maarten. Following the arrest, a house search, authorized by an Investigating Judge, was conducted at the suspect's residence. During the search, officers confiscated a quantity of narcotics, cash, one firearm, ammunition, an air gun, jewelry, and other incriminating evidence. All seized items were transported to the Philipsburg Police Station for further examination and processing. The investigation into these illegal activities continues.
