Final Esp Beneficiary Signing | Enterprise Support Project Moves to Next Phase
On February 10, 2026, the Enterprise Support Project (ESP) signed its final beneficiary under the project’s financing activity, marking the completion of the financing phase and the transition to the next stage of enterprise strengthening.
Launched after Hurricane Irma, ESP has supported 323 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises across Sint Maarten through a combination of grants, loans, training, and coaching. Nearly 40 percent of supported businesses were start-ups, and 138 were women-owned or women-led enterprises.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication, Grisha Heyliger-Marten, and NRPB Director Claret Connor. Final beneficiary Yumi Lake of Alie Construction and Design shared her appreciation for the opportunity provided through ESP.
With the financing activity complete, ESP now focuses on strengthening the systems that support long-term MSME growth, working in close alignment with national economic priorities.
