More than 90 participants from the Dutch Caribbean and wider region attended the CaPAs regional pension seminar at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, held for the first time in St. Maarten. Hosted by the Caribbean Pension Funds Association under the theme “Pensions as Foundation of Sustainable Prosperity,” the event focused on pension systems’ role in economic resilience, social stability, and dignified aging. Acting Finance Minister Nathalie Tackling opened the seminar, while Governor Ajamu Baly participated throughout. Keynotes and breakout sessions covered demographic change, governance, financial literacy, resilience, solidarity, and sustainability, followed by expert Q&A and networking.
