Court sentences violent jewelry store robbers to up to Six years imprisonment

The Court of First Instance sentenced S.A.K.G. to six years and S.G.M. to four years’ imprisonment on June 18, 2026. Both men were convicted as accomplices in the violent jewelry store robbery of Oro Diamante on October 25, 2025. S.A.K.G. was also convicted for the December 6, 2025, robbery of Island Treasures Jewelers. These convictions followed separate investigations into armed robberies targeting jewelry stores on Sint Maarten. Evidence, including DNA and telecommunications data, linked G. to the Island Treasures offense. M. was arrested shortly after the Oro Diamante incident following an attempt to evade police.
