Five Suspects Arrested Following Early Wednesday Morning Police Operation. One Gun Recovered

The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) arrested five male suspects and confiscated a firearm during an operation in the Dutch Quarter area on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. At approximately 3:30 a.m., officers on routine patrol along Brasilia Road observed a vehicle with five male occupants, two of whom were dressed in black with covered faces, prompting suspicion. Additional police patrols were requested to assist. Acting under KPSM's stop-and-search authority, which includes provisions of the Firearms and Opium Ordinances, officers conducted a thorough search of the occupants and the vehicle. This search resulted in the discovery and confiscation of a firearm.
