Sint Maarten launched its Foster Care Awareness Month 2026 on May 5, organized by the Judicial & Institutional Services Foundation (J&IS) and its Foster Families Central Department. The event, themed "Foster the Future," brought together various community members, officials, and foster families. It aimed to raise awareness for foster care and emphasize that every child deserves a safe, loving home, calling the community to action.
