Ipko Consultations commence in Netherlands. The importance of the continued evolution of the Kingdom Emphasized

The Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultations (IPKO) commenced on June 5, 2026, in The Hague, Netherlands, attended by representatives including the Parliament of Sint Maarten. During opening addresses, Hon. Sarah A. Wescot-Williams, President of Parliament and delegation leader for Sint Maarten, underscored the importance of the Kingdom's ongoing evolution and internal relations. She advocated for development, resilience, and institutional strengthening through increased cooperation and capacity-building. Wescot-Williams characterized this evolution as an urgent necessity for reinforcing the Kingdom structure and voiced strong support for an announced Kingdom Conference. Other participants included the Chairperson of the Kingdom Affairs Committee of the Second Chamber and Presidents of the Parliaments of Aruba and Curaçao.
