Lions Club's "Teach Me to Fish" Project Delivers Healthy Food Baskets to Diabetic Seniors

The St. Maarten Lions Club concluded its annual "Teach Me to Fish" project, distributing 84 specially prepared food baskets to seniors across the Dutch side of St. Maarten. Under President Alvin Prescod's direction, this year's initiative prioritized diabetic-friendly ingredients to support healthy eating habits and condition management among vulnerable seniors, particularly those with diabetes. The baskets were delivered directly to recipients and through partner organizations, including the White and Yellow Cross, the Anglican Church, the International Youths Ministry, and Nurse Nanny Nurssy Foundation, ensuring widespread assistance within the community.
