Members of Parliament participating in Caribbean AI Workshop on Anguilla

Members of Parliament, including Sint Maarten's President of Parliament, Sarah A. Wescot-Williams, and MP Ardwell M.R. Irion, are attending a Caribbean AI Workshop in Anguilla. The event, which commenced on Sunday, June 21, 2026, is a collaborative effort by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK, UNESCO, the Anguilla House of Assembly, and ParlAmericas, among other entities. The workshop aims to explore critical topics such as the application of AI in parliamentary work, strategies against misinformation and digital threats, cybersecurity, and national readiness for digital transformation. On the first day of sessions, Monday, June 22, participants shared updates on AI adoption within their respective governmental institutions.
