Minister of VSA Richinel Brug congratulated Mr. Urbain Javois on his 100th birthday, celebrated on May 25, 2026. Born in La Savane, Saint Martin, in 1926, Javois lived and worked across several Caribbean islands before returning to Sint Maarten. He contributed to the island’s development through his work at F.W. Vlaun & Sons, trained as a mechanic at Chrysler in Detroit, and later became an entrepreneur. Brug praised Javois as an example of hard work, perseverance, and dedication, while also urging the community to honor Sint Maarten’s elders and their lasting contributions.
