Minister Heyliger-Marten Highlights Entrepreneurship Development as Key Pillar of Economic Growth

Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication (TEATT), Grisha Heyliger-Marten, recently underscored the importance of investing in entrepreneurship and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Speaking at a press conference for the St. Maarten Entrepreneurship Development Center's (SEDC) Advanced Education Program on Sint Maarten (Pond Island), the Minister identified entrepreneurship development as a key pillar of the Government's "Forward by Design" economic strategy. She highlighted MSMEs as the "backbone" of the Sint Maarten economy, encompassing diverse businesses from local shops to tourism support services. This emphasis signals the government's focus on fostering these enterprises for overall economic growth and stability.
