Minister Melissa D. Gumbs - Official Statement on 2026 Flag Day Observance

During the 20 May 2026 Council of Ministers press briefing, I took the opportunity to clarify the scaled back observance plans for Flag Day, which we observe every June 13th. Responsible decision-making is never comfortable, nor is it popular, but it is most definitely necessary. I will continue to be open and transparent with the way we navigate the very real challenges within the Ministry and our country.
