Minister Plenipotentiary Arrindell meets with Expert Group on the Democratic Deficit within the Kingdom

Minister Plenipotentiary Drs. Gracita Arrindell recently participated in an interview with the Expert Group on the Democratic Deficit within the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the Cabinet in The Hague. This interview is part of a series of consultations being conducted by the expert group across all four countries of the Kingdom. Mandated by the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO), the group aims to examine the democratic deficit and identify opportunities to strengthen democratic participation, representation, and cooperation. During the discussion, Minister Arrindell shared perspectives on Kingdom governance, the role of Caribbean countries within the Kingdom structure, and mechanisms for participation in Kingdom decision-making processes. The session also addressed practical challenges and opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
