Minister Plenipotentiary Arrindell meets with India’s Ambassador to Explore Opportunities between both Countries

Minister Plenipotentiary Drs. Gracita Arrindell recently met with H.E. Kumar Tuhin, India’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, at the Embassy of India in The Hague. The visit aimed to explore cooperation opportunities for the sustainable development of Sint Maarten. Discussions covered potential collaboration in renewable energy, climate resilience, digital innovation, healthcare, and capacity building. Particular attention was given to the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), a global initiative to strengthen infrastructure against natural disasters and climate change. This initiative is considered valuable for knowledge exchange and resilience-building, given Sint Maarten’s vulnerability to hurricanes and climate-related challenges. The meeting also highlighted the International Solar initiative.
