The Ministry of Finance implemented payroll tax adjustments ahead of the June 2026 vacation payroll. This action followed concerns raised by Justice personnel regarding the taxation of certain extraordinary payments reflected on their payslips. Finance Minister Marinka Gumbs addressed these issues during a monthly consultation, subsequently requesting a review from the Government’s payroll software provider. Working with the Wages and Salaries Department, the assessment confirmed issues related to the application of extraordinary tax rates. Consequently, the Ministry successfully implemented the necessary adjustments to resolve the taxation concerns.
