Ministry of Vsa Marks Completion of Nibud Study Visit and Training on Cost of Living in Sint Maarten

The Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA), supported by the Tijdelijke Werk Organisatie (TWO), completed a key phase in its collaboration with the Nationaal Instituut voor Budgetvoorlichting (Nibud). This initiative is part of an ongoing study into the cost of living in Sint Maarten, aiming to provide evidence-based insight into actual household expenditures for various family compositions. Conducted in Sint Maarten, the study is integrated into the implementation of Country Reform Packages. From June 2 to June 11, 2026, residents, professionals, and organizations contributed through interviews and focus group discussions, informing the analysis of resources needed for basic needs and societal participation.
