Mp Lacroes Calls for Immediate End to Double Turnover Tax on Fuel Prices

MP Francisco A. Lacroes is urgently calling on the Sint Maarten Government to eliminate the double application of Turnover Tax (TOT) on fuel prices. Ministry data confirms TOT is applied at both wholesale and consumer retail levels, creating an unnecessary multilayered burden. Ending this practice would significantly alleviate the inflated fuel costs currently burdening residents at the pump.
