Mp Lewis raises concerns on the increase in Traffic Accidents, Road Safety and other justice related affairs

Sint Maarten MP Lyndon Lewis (Nation Opportunity Wealth party) has requested an Urgent Public Meeting of Parliament with Minister of Justice Nathalie Tackling. The request, dispatched to President of Parliament Sarah Wescott-Williams, aims to address an "alarming increase" in traffic accidents and fatalities throughout Sint Maarten. In a press statement released Wednesday evening, MP Lewis highlighted a "troubling trend" of motor vehicle and motorcycle accidents resulting in serious injuries and loss of life. He noted public concerns regarding reckless driving, intoxicated driving, speeding, and disregard for traffic regulations. The meeting is also intended to discuss other justice-related matters, signaling parliamentary scrutiny of road safety and broader justice affairs.
