Police investigate attemted robbery of jewelry store in maho

The Police Force of Sint Maarten is investigating an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in Maho shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Police patrols and detectives were sent to the scene after Central Dispatch received several calls. Preliminary information indicates that suspects dressed in dark clothing arrived on three to four scooters and tried unsuccessfully to rob the business. They then fled toward the French side of the island through the Cupecoy border. Detectives are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact KPSM or the anonymous tip line.
