Preparations Underway to Celebrate 16th Cultural Ancestral Emancipation Day

The VOICES Foundation announced its 16th Cultural Ancestral Emancipation Day Celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Emilio Wilson Park in Sint Maarten. The event, themed “Education is Our Foundation,” aims to honor retired teachers aged 70 and older, recognizing their contributions to shaping generations. The public is invited to the free-entrance event, which begins at 12 PM, with an honoring ceremony scheduled from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Activities will include local food, drinks, arts and crafts from vendors, children's activities, and entertainment by DJ Pebbels and Cultural Glamour Dancers.
