Prime Minister Supports International Little League Tournament with Xcg 25,000 Contribution

Prime Minister Dr. Luc F. E. Mercelina, supported by the Council of Ministers, has approved a XCG 25,000 contribution for the 2026 Latin America & Caribbean Little League Baseball Tournament. The tournament, scheduled to begin on July 11, 2026, will be hosted in Sint Maarten and run for nine days, welcoming teams and participants from across the region. This financial support reflects the Government of Sint Maarten's commitment to youth development, sports promotion, and showcasing the country as a destination for international sporting events. Organizers anticipate the tournament will also generate significant economic activity for local businesses and boost the island's tourism sector.
