Sint Maarten Issues Public Health Advisory & Travel Restrictions as Ebola Prevention Measures

The Government of Sint Maarten has announced immediate public health advisory and travel restrictions as a precautionary measure against the potential importation of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). These steps are taken out of an abundance of caution due to ongoing EVD concerns in parts of Africa, despite a low risk and no confirmed cases currently in Sint Maarten. Residents are advised to avoid non-essential travel to affected countries. Effective immediately, all passengers are prohibited from entering or transiting Sint Maarten if they have been present in or transited through specified affected countries within 21 days prior to travel. The measures aim to safeguard public health and prevent the virus's entry.
