Temporary Power Outage to Reconnect Transmission Cable

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - NV GEBE regrets to inform the public that at 4:00 PM today (Ed Sunday, May 17, 2026), customers in Belvedere, parts of Bishop Hill, and parts of Oyster Pond and a small part of Dutch Quarter will experience a temporary power interruption for approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Electricity service is expected to be restored by no later than 5:00 PM. This interruption is necessary to reconnect the transmission cable following the issue experienced last week. NV GEBE apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the community for its patience and understanding.
