Tripartite Consultation focuses on dispute regulation, country packages, monetary union

Delegations from the Parliaments of St. Maarten, Aruba and Curaçao met in The Hague on June 4, 2026, for a Tripartite Consultation hosted by St. Maarten’s Parliament. The talks focused on the draft Dispute Regulation, evaluation of the Country Packages, the Curaçao–St. Maarten Monetary Union, slavery’s legacy, and ways to strengthen cooperation among the three parliaments. Chaired by Sarah Wescot-Williams, the meeting was the third Tripartite session of 2026. Delegates also prepared for the upcoming Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation, scheduled for June 5-8 at the Dutch Second Chamber.
