Voice of the Youth St. Maarten Foundation Celebrates Annual Rank Promotion Ceremony

The Voice of the Youth St. Maarten Foundation held its Annual Rank Promotion Ceremony on May 22, 2026, through its St. Maarten Youth Brigade program. The event, themed “Today’s Disciplined Youth Become Tomorrow’s Trusted Leaders,” celebrated the discipline, growth, and leadership of young brigadiers. Founder Zulayka Peterson highlighted the program’s community impact and appealed to government for access to a long-requested obstacle course facility. Prime Minister Luc Mercelina and Ministers Nathalie Tackling and Melissa Gumbs praised the youth and emphasized shared responsibility for youth development. The foundation also marked 13 years of service.
